New WatchOS 2 Apps must be native – Starting June 1st

On Friday Apple posted a note on it’s developer website stating that watchOS apps submitted to the App Store must be native apps built with the watchOS 2 SDK or later – starting June 1, 2016.

This seems to be a pretty good move by apple; when the Apple watch was first released, the apps were streamed from the iPhone in which the Watch was paired to. This often made app opening times very sluggish and made using apps quite unpleasant at times. Native apps help to remove these issues as all of the Watch app data is on the Watch, not the iPhone.
